Oil and gas resources not only are important energy resources, but also areimportant and strategic resources. Understanding and grasping the scale and thedistribution of oil and gas resources in China, it has important significance for makingenergy planning by the relevant departments, and reasonably makes to use of oil andgas resources, to promote economic and social development, as well as to developPetroleum Company planning. As China’s demand for oil and gas resources isincreasing year by year, the contradiction between supply and demand is more andmore intense; oil shale as the unconventional oil and gas resources gradually causesthe attention of people.China’s oil shale exploration degree is low level, the majority of the oil shaleexploration are in general investigation or detailed investigation stage, only a littleregions (Fushun, Maoming and Huadian, and so on) is in the exploration degree stage.Exploration work in oil shale of China is primarily in the1950to1960. At that time,prospecting work of oil shale was carried by many units and departments (includinggeology, coal, chemical department, and so on) and obtained a large numberfoundation data of oil shale. But the form of these data are mostly data tables, figuresor text reports, they cannot be efficient and management application. In the face alarge amount of raw data of oil shale, drawing figure request flexible, reservescalculation complex, expression diverse, to achieve uniform data storage managementof the massive, heterogeneous, distributed oil shale data, rapid extract of desired dataand efficient and accurate process, extract and process information and visualizationexpress geological characteristics, quality characteristics and resource quantity of oilshale, have important guiding significance about exploration and utilization of oilshale in the future.MapGIS K9is the famous domestic software, takes the lead in the application ofa new generation of suspended-upside-down architecture technology to supportservice-oriented architecture technology, and realizes multi-layer, horizontal grid distributed architecture. It has characteristics of cross platform, removable, buildingtype, plug-in type, configuration of a new generation of development patterns. Itachieves the development function of a zero programming, ingenious combinationand easy to build. MapGIS K9was widely used in geological survey, city planningand so on, which makes possibility of the unified data storage management, resourceevaluation, effective utilization of oil shale.GIS can be a variety of related spatial and non spatial information by layerapproach to management and analysis, which makes oil shale a unified data storagemanagement, resource assessment, and efficient development and utilization as apossibility. Oil exploration data management information systems research andapplication of oil exploration based on GIS, in recent years, is the hot topic in theforefront of the industry, but also are the oil sector and the urgent need for relevantresearch institutions. At present, there is no relevant unit or departments using GIStechnology to build for oil shale data management applications, only part of thescholars in the study of the relevant databases. Abroad is focused on resourceevaluation data model research and geological database construction, such as theUnited States under the auspices of the USGS Digital Geologic Map Data Model andnational geological database.In view of the above situation, on the basis of oil shale resources database andthe industry practice in the domestic and foreign, and further analysis of the oil shaleresource management method, the oil shale resource evaluation database managementsystem was established based on MAPGIS K9platform by use of CBD technology,C/S architecture technology in the paper, acquired the results and understanding asfollow:1. From the oil shale data model, analysis of resource classification andevaluation method of oil shale, and data types of oil shale and their interrelationship,grasped the oil shale data management focus, built the oil shale management datamodel, with the borehole data as key, and other types of data are associated (oil shalethickness contour, borehole correlation section, and so on).2. With the basic geological data, borehole data, field data and the results data asthe data base, with MAPGIS K9geographic system binds to the GIS generalframework for the platform, established system architecture to map browsing andquery, data editing, data management, special mapping, database output as the keyfunctions of the oil shale database management. The system of three layer structure isan open, standard structure, effectively reduce coupling among the system function module, improve code reuse value, but also for the system function application offlexible expansion, application maintenance.3. Based on distributed heterogeneous data integrated storage management, usingthe plug-in technology to construct the GIS general framework, CBD technology, C/Ssystem structure as the key technology, establishmented the resources databasemanagement system of oil shale, including the visualization and editing of data, andspecial thematic mapping and other functions.4. The system supports to select mainstream database as database managementsystem, realizes the system data integration storage, network sharing, distributedprocessing, thus solving the spatial data and non spatial data management.5. Through the actual data application some oil shale exploration area inHuadian mining area of Dunmi basin, showed that the resources databasemanagement system of oil shale based on MAPGIS K9is simple, practical andeffective, easy to update data, the dynamic rapid evaluation. There is an importantsignificance for oil shale resource management, energy strategic planning, as well asthe oil shale industry the healthy development of our country.
