The intelligence, visualization and scientific of blasting design has become amajor direction of development of the current international blasting technology. Inorder to further enhance, the coal production capacity and reduce the cost of mining,Heidaigou of The Shenhua Zhungeer energy limited liability company decided to startthe project—“the absorption and re-innovation of casting blast and explosive coretechnology”, which aims to digest, absorb and re-innovate he current Macao Rachelcompany’s products, forming independent intellectual property rights. This papercomes from "high bench cast blasting design software", which is part of the project.The early "high bench cast blasting design software has completed the visualdisplay of the blasting information and graphics rendering, editing, and otherfunctions on the AutoCAD software for secondary development. However, thesoftware only can import top of the hill surface data, coal and roof data and other datain one blasting design. It cannot view the whole mine general blasting design and saveall the data of the system either. Therefore, the software needs develop backenddatabase system, to keep complete terrain data mining and the blasting design dataevery time. Based on the above background, this paper build a database system for thehigh bench throw blasting design software and realize the data processing functions.Based on the study and research of the AutoCAD drawing database, AutoCADdevelopment techniques, spatial database, the high bench throw blasting, this paperdesign the database and data processing module. The Database modeling andimplementation are based on documents and relational databases in Oracle10gsoftware platform and the data processing software modules is using C#languageon.NET platform. On the basis of the existing functionality, a series of tests to provethat the design and implementation of the system is successful.The high bench cast blasting design software which adds the back-end databaseand data processing functions, a number of trials has achieved very good results in alab environment. To a certain extent, the result of this paper solve the problems andshortcomings in the data processing of the high bench cast blasting software.
