The spread of virus and rumor are two main and common propagation behaviors on complex network. No matter biological virus or computer viruses have caused great loss to the human society and computer network. And in the future, they will continue to exist in these systems. The spread of rumor also threaten the social stability. In recent years, the research of complex network brings new ideas and methods to the research of spread of viruses. The research of virus spread in the complex network has realistic meanings for people to make virus defense and control strategies.This thesis summarized the basic theory of the spread of the virus model and basic concept of complex network. Detailed analysis of the virus transmission mechanism is introduced especially the dynamics mechanism in the complex network and the spread critical value in both in uniform and no uniform network. The main research results of this thesis are as follows:1. In the real world there are some factors that many models don’t consider affect the spread of the virus. One of them is feedback mechanism which can produce a greater influence. Through the analysis in two different networks, we found that feedback mechanism can’t change the spread critical value in uniform network but can effectively reduce the node infection density when the system reach to steady state, so it can reduce the loss caused by the spread of the virus. And we got the similar result in no uniform network. So feedback mechanism is the effective way to control the spread of the virus. We should improve information sharing rate and transmission rate as possible as we can.2. The spread of rumor is similar with the spread of the virus. Based on previous studies, the thesis analysis rumors spread characteristics on two different networks. In a new micro blogging network rumor spread model, we found that the final state of the model has close relationship with the effective spread rate between network members and the topological structure of the micro blogging network. According to the result of the model, we put forward corresponding prevention and control strategy.Finally, this thesis makes a conclusion of the work have done and points out some shortcomings which need further exploration and research.
