The traditional access network technology can’t meet voice, video and data access of fullservice, passive optical network technology (PON) arises at the historic moment and becomesthe big focus of operators. PON technology is regarded as the best technology to construct thefull service access network. But simple PON technology still can’t meet the needs of thediverse business, especially access and the authentication security of wireless business, whichbecome the urgent problems need to resolve.This paper in the full service access network construction background, in-depth researchfor GPON (Gigabit-Capable Passive Optical Network) transmission system and WLANrelated technologies has been completed, the comprehensive access network based onGPON+WLAN technology and its secondary access authentication mechanism is put forward.This paper mainly research work is as follows:(1) Analyze GPON system structure and working principle. The new comprehensiveaccess network model which combine with WLAN and GPON technology has been putforward.(2) The current access network lack of bottom equipment authentication and faultprocessing mechanism, so security vulnerabilities exist. Through in-depth research accessauthentication mechanism, the new secondary access authentication architecture isconstructed so that greatly improves the safety of network.(3) In the background of Changsha Mobile access network project construction,GPON+WLAN technology and secondary authentication architecture has been used in pilotproject access network construction.
