With the development of the power electronic technology, the study on the powerquality has been deepened in China. Many harmful ingredients such as harmonic andreactive power in the power grid not only affect the normal operation of electricalequipment, but also reduce the power quality. Nowadays, the study on harmonic isone of the hot topics in the power system. There will be an important social andeconomic value to use hybrid shunt generalized active power filter (HSGAPF) toreduce the pollution of the power system and improve the power quality in China. Atthe same time, reducing the pollution of the power system effectively is alsocorresponding with environment protection and energy conservation in socialdevelopment.To compensate those harmful ingredients in the power grid such as harmonic,reactive power, negative sequence component and zero sequence component andexpand the traditional harmonic theory, a new theory of generalized harmonic basedon the traditional harmonic theory is proposed in this thesis.Compared with the structure and working performance of HSGAPF currentlyused. In order to suppress and compensate the generalized harmonic effectively, atype of three-phase six-bridge hybrid generalized active power filter that applies tothree-phase four-wire system and its working principle are studied in this paper.Meanwhile, a mathematical model is established by the switching function modelingmethod.The orthogonal transformation algorithm for harmonic detection is analyzed. Itsaccuracy is improved by pre-setting orthogonal transform matrix in the angularfrequency instead of phase lock loop(PLL).It not only saves the cost but alsoaccelerates the speed of dynamic response. Compared with two-level hysteresiscurrent control technology, three-level hysteresis current control technology has lowerswitching losses under the same width of hysteresis ring. Therefore, the paper usesthree-level hysteresis current control technology on HSGAPF control strategy.Finally, the paper describes the main circuit design of HSGAPF. This topic forstudy has designed the hardware and software of controller used for SHGAPF basedon the TMS320C28345, which is a tape of 32-bit floating point multi-function digitalprocessor. At last, a simulation model of HSGAPF is built in the MATLAB, the simulation results further prove the validity of the theory analysis in this thesis.
