This paper relies on projects which is cooperation with Tianjin Pipe Group Corporation.Research on study of applying high pressure system in Shunt Hybrid Active Power FilterSHAPF as a starting point. Taking the promotion of power quality and harmonic control asthe target, we do the research that including analysis of SHAPF basic principles, newdetection method, as well as the installation location optimization problems. The main focusof this paper are as follows: A new SHAPF detection method is proposed to improve theSHAPF detection rapid and accuracy, making better compensation effect; Taking the securityand stability of the grid and economy into account, SHAPF installation location optimalselection method based on intelligent optimization algorithms is proposed. The main contentsare as follows:1For the lack of passive filters and active power filters, SHAPF is proposd. We make thedetailed analysis of basic structure, and mathematical analysis of the principle model ofSHAPF. On this basis, comparative analysis between the SHAPF and traditional active powerfilter, explaining its structure is more suitable for higher voltage level. Through thecomparative analysis of different control parameters and simulation, according to thesimulation result, we can get conclusion that the compensation effect is influenced parametersand meanwhile provide the theory basis for the research of detection method the installationlocation.2On the basis of analysis and comparison of existing harmonic current detection method, Thepaper proposed new SHAPF comprehensive analysis harmonic detection method based onwavelet transform and FFT. On the basis of elaborated the lack of two detection methods, thepaper proposed combining the two methods. On the basis of comprehensive detection method,the paper builded simulation model and used MATLAB to simulate for new harmonicdetection method, the simulation results show the superiority of the new detection method.3, On the basis of comprehensive analysis, the paper applicated SHAPF to10KV bus onTianjin Pipe Group Corporation, and made overall simulation, then analysis of results to playa good inhibition for harmonic control.4, The paper proposed SHAPF optimal installation position method for optimal installationlocation SHAPF design process based on PSO algorithm. Then based on18bus distributionnetwork to make simulation, and gives detailed simulation results, the SHAPF the Selectionof the optimal installation location method has a certain significance and meanwhile themethod has potential applications.
