Urban water supply network is the lifeblood of the city. Its system is large,structure is complex, and it has a high requirement for stability and reliability.Remote monitoring system of urban water supply is one of the importantsafeguard technologies to ensure urban water supply. How to improve water supplyquality, to reduce cost and to save energy are important issues. The computercontrol technology, industrial network technology, and remote communicationtechnology are applied into remote monitoring system of urban water supply in thispaper.The main research works of this paper are as follows:1、City water supply systems are analysed. The city water supply remotemonitoring system based on industrial control network and telecommunicationtechnology is designed.2、 Based on the analysis and comparison of remote data communicationtechnology, a remote monitoring data communication mode structure based on thedesign of a GPRS communication mode is designed.3、For optimal operation of water supply in the city, this paper analyzed thecity water supply in different seasons and period of water supply pipe network ofdifferent pressure value, and analyzed the relationships city water supply betweenflow-life and power-speed, and provided the city water supply system model whichis supplied constantly, and designed a kind of PID controlled constant pressurewater supply system.4、The functional requirements of city water supply remote monitoring systemis analysed, industrial control configuration software development platform is used,graphical interface operation mode is designed, the city water supply systemproduction process can be monitored conveniently and accurately.The remote monitoring system of urban water supply researched in this paperis applied in production scheduling system of HuangShan water company. Actualoperating results show that function of the system is perfect, operation of thesystem is simple, communication of remote monitoring data is reliable, and the system provides an important technical means for guarantee of urban water supply.
