Important and special pressure equipment, such as boilers and pressure vessels, has been widely used in electric power, chemicals, textiles and other industries, they are playing an irreplaceable role in development of the national economy. As an important part of safe production, make full use of the network and communication technology, real-time collect, process and control the parameters such as temperature, pressure and water level,detect abnormity in time,prevent secunty incident to prevent security incidents, to ensure its safe operation, is the subject of research.The important and special pressure equipment remote monitoring system based on GPRS and GIS, is designed to monitor the safety of modern boilers and pressure vessels,the system used advanced technologies such as GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), GIS (Geographic Information System), on-line monitoring, network communications, database technology and so on.The system is composed of On-site monitoring terminal, GPRS wireless communications systems and monitoring center management information system. Monitoring terminal is installed in special equipment to monitor real-timely, GPRS communication system transfer the data collected to monitoring center in time. Inspectors can get the real-time status through the visual interface of GIS.The system can alarm automatically when abnormal data is collected , to reduce the probability of major accidents and reduce losses.The article described the entire system in detail, including the design of collecting terminal, monitoring center and control terminal. Collecting terminal includes single-chip collecting module, GPRS communications module; Monitoring Center server includes data-processing module. Monitoring terminal including dynamic generation of instrumentation, using the control of MapX map to achieve visualization of geographic information management module.Testing proves that the technical performance has achieved the aim. Low-volume, non-consecutive long-distance data transmission is accomplished successfully, which provide a convenient way for wireless data transmission, and achieve the purpose to monitor Important and special pressure equipment remotely.
