Research On Saas-based Enterprise Declaration Management System

At present, many inland users often face the problem that the cost is too high for them to buy software and hardware, and to maintain the system, while using a system. While the new SaaS model will reduce the cost for hardware and software purchase, and the maintenance cost by turning the software buy-out model into the software rental model. And it has already caught the attention of software career.SaaS (Software as a service) is a new software application model, which provides software services by online software rental. Software providers do not sell rent-only software, and they will put all software applications on their own servers. Users can order the software services they need depending on their actual demand, and pay for it according to the amount of subscription services and the rented time to access to online services. Comparing with traditional software service model, SaaS service providers build all the necessary network equipment and hardware and software platform which are necessary for enterprises. They are also responsible for all pre-and-post implementation maintenance service. This not only significantly reduces the overall enterprise information cost, but also allows companies to focus on high-level activities which fit and support their goals better. That is why SaaS has attracted the attention of the majority of enterprises since it came out, especially the attention of SMEs, and is considered the best information solution for SMEs.This thesis introduces the concept of SaaS and its essential features, and discusses the most notable difference between SaaS application and traditional application, which is multi-tenant. Through in-depth investigation for domestic and abroad development of SaaS applications, in consideration of long-tail theory, we analyze and outlook the application of SaaS model for the information technology of SMEs. The thesis uses the design of a multi-tenant Enterprise Declaration Management System as a carrier, on the base of the research of four-level maturity model and three kinds of SaaS database schema, the system is analyzed and designed. Configuration is accessed by metadata, and owing to the technology of.NET 3.0 we achieve a serviced-oriented loosely coupled business module, ASP.NET authentication and role manager can help to ensure the system security, finally achieve the goal of research.
