In this thesis, a kind of wireless beacon which is based on the sotfware defined radio andrelied on the frequency synthesis technique is designed to solve the problem that the recorderis difficult to search. This beacon adopts the sotfware defined radio technology, had thefeature of lfexibility and openness, and relied on a modular hardware platform. It can achievevarious functions of the radio by changing the sotfware.The frequency synthesizer is an important part of modern electronic system, so thehardware platform of beacon receiver in this thesis is realized by frequency synthesistechnology. Atfer compairng the frequency synthesis technology at present, this thesis selectsthe DDS technology whose performance is good. At last, the thesis designs the modulairzedhardware platform of beacon receiver by DDS technology.On the basis of the study of ADI’s high-performance DDS chip AD9910, a programbased on the AD9910 frequency synthesizer module is designed, used the AD9910 modulatedthe BPSK signal which is up to 400MHz. this module is lfexible, and is easily to operate.Using flexible operational GPS module, using low-power microcontroller to control the entiresystem, and designed the RF circuit of the corresponding band, completed the design ofbeacons. The circuit of beacon receiver designed in this thesis can alter the beacon receiver’sswitch, working frequency and modulation by only changing the software and not changingthe hardware circuit, which is accord with the thought of software radio.Atfer testing, design of the circuit could meet the requirements of the beacon, it couldOutput 400MHz BPSK modulated signal and the output power could up to 1.9W. Bychanging the Sotfware, it can output signal rfom 370 to 410MHz, and can output 8 PSK、FSKor ASK modulation signal.
