With the development of the technology, the communication, broadcasting andradar system require the higher performance of local oscillation in the transmittersand receivers. The theory of frequency synthesis is used to realize the localoscillation. It is usually based on a crystal oscillation with high performance, andobtains different frequencies by doubler and divider. Frequency synthesizers arewidely used in space detecting, secondary planet and guided missile tracing andmeasuring distance, satellite communication, radar, navigation, instrument,broadcasting and many other fields. Now the frequency synthesizer adopts thedigital technology, so it has the simple structure, small cubage, high performance.Since the direct digital frequency synthesizer appears, the traditional design hasbeen changed, and it is applied in more fields.The frequency synthesizer is an excellent performance, and has thecharacteristics of low phase noise, frequency agility and speed, wide output frequencyrange and frequency points. According to these characteristics, infers two kind offrequency synthesis technology of mathematical model and the corresponding formula,in-depth analysis of two kinds of technology and their respective advantages anddisadvantages, and propose reasonable solutions to problems. Finally, combined withthe specific project, the application scheme is proposed for frequency synthesistechnology in digital FM exciter and fast frequency hopping communication system,analyzes its working principle, and under the guidance of the hardware circuit is givenin the above theory.
