Traditional Amplitude Modulation Broadcast is regarded as the most fundamental technique of information transmission all over the world, which has advantages in wide coverage, long transmission distance. However, with the rapid development of digital, micro-electronic and wireless technology, because of the disadvantages in transmitting interference and over spectrum occupancy, traditional AM broadcast is becoming more and more difficult to adapt modern transmission need. Digital Radio Mondiale is born at this background. DRM has advantages in lower transmitting power, higher anti-disturbance ability, better frequency spectrum utilization, which solve the problems in traditional AM broadcast primely.With the concerns of DRM all over the world, digital frequency synthesizer, as the most important part of the DRM system, is paid more attention to.Digital frequency synthesizer in DRM introduce the DDS technology synthesize the frequency with phase quantization technique,has advantages in wide relative bandwidth,short frequency conversion time,high frequency resolution,continuum output phase.This paper studies the development and operational principle of DRM technology fist.On the basis of that,we expatiate the position and effect of DDS in the DRM system.And then,this paper mainly introduce the principle of DDS, which also analysis the stray and spectrum.Eventually, we study the center of this paper which is localization develop for every part of TXW5321 Digital frequency synthesizer.Before analysis the localization project of TXW5321, we should conclude the function block,electrical characteristics and interface mode first,and make clear about every part function of TXW5321.On the basic of this,from design philosophy parameter set,component analysis, we introduce the localization project of each part of TXW5321.
