3G wireless performance has been greatly improved,but to meet user’s needs.there still are many limitations. Requirements of future communication systems are now more than the capacity of existing networks,looking for a breakthrough network structure is imperative, so under this backgroud LTE (3.9G)came into being.In this paper, to achieve the contents of the LTE access network base station maintenance and management work, we propose a implementation program of a base station maintenance management system using the idea of the NMS.The underlying communication protocol is SNMP protocol, protocol version is SNMPv2c, using the C++Builder tool development and SNMP++ in C++ Builder to achieve SNMP protocol operation.At the start of this paper we introduce LTE, the eNodeB and the implementation of maintenance management system. Then introduce all the information of the eNodeB that is stored in the MIB. Then describes the data exchange relationship between the maintenance management system, the eNodeB and FTP Server. Communications platform is the supporting platform of the entire system,which is a static link. The business modules are divided into pre-distribution, configuration, software, failure and testing modules, each management module is a DLL file that can be called by the main module. This article will describes the realization of each module in detail.Maintenance management system has been applied in testing work of the base station by testors,which making a great progress in the launching of the LTE project.
