With rapid developments of Mobile Internet industry, the major IT companies of the world such as Google, Microsoft and traditional telecom equipment manufacturers such as Motorola, Nokia, HTC have actively involved in the tide of mobile Internet development. As the support of Mobile Internet techology, intelligent terminal operating system development and market sharing will become the core of the competition in the mobile Internet industry. Open and standardized platforms will help developers, equipment manufacturers and telecommunication operators reach the three win-win situation.Since Google released the Android platform for just a few years, with its open feature and excellent custom user experience, Android has successfully gained more than half of the global smart operating system market. As the popularity of 3G technology, mobile multimedia services have become an important branch of mobile Internet applications, so the operating system platform must provide good multimedia support. At the same time, as the system power consumption on mobile devices are strict required, and high-energy battery development has far behind the IC devices evolution and power computing, so the low-power technology design and implementation of the intelligent terminal needed to overcome many difficulties.This paper integrates the multimedia systems and software technology of low power consumption Then designs and implements possible optimization. At last make an auto measurement to verify the final results that whether it can achieve the target. The major achievement of this paper are as follows: 1.It introduced the architecture and implementation of Android operating system, analyzed multimedia subsystem architecture that includes Media Service, multimedia local library Libmedia and hardware abstraction layer HAL.2. It researched in multimedia middleware Stagefright on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Then analyze the source code and multimedia process scheduling, debug using VTune and Perf tools to trace code tracking position, and summarize the framework of Stagefright, audio and video playback process and implementation mechanism.3.It intergrated the low-power software technology, researched in the methods to assess system operating status. It is analysised the power management state, interrupt handling, and other methods to track the location of hot functions, and designed and implement optimization program and validation the results.
