Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of network technology and the replacement of equipment, especially the increasing popularity of3G networks, more and more functions of multimedia applications are required. As a relatively new operating system, the multimedia framework of Android is not perfect. As an open source system, version differentiation of Android is a serious problem. It is a research of great value to improve the integrity of the multimedia framework of Android platform, for it could reduce the workload of developers, and brings the users with better experience. Therefore, the development of framework with strong decoding functions, extensive protocol support and high decoding efficiency, has become the inevitable trend of the Android multimedia framework.The Android platform multimedia framework is divided into system multimedia framework and the third-framework of multimedia in this thesis.Among them,the system framework of multimedia includes OpenCore and StageFright; the third-multimedia framework generally refers to the unofficial multimedia framework, which separates from the architecture of OpenCore and StageFright. In general, this is achieved by Native Development Tools to integrate good portability open source multimedia project, eventually implement the independent multimedia framework. The point of this thesis is the design and implementation of a new type of multimedia framework xCore, which is based on the research of OpenCore and StageFright and requirements of project of xFace as well as a multimedia engine FFMpeg with more advanced functions.Three methods of integration of OpenCore and StageFright is described in this thesis, the characteristics of system multimedia framework and the third-multimedia framework of multimedia framework are analyzed and compared to select the design decision of xCore, which is implemented by techniques of optimization, encapsulation and porting. Finally the multimedia framework is tested by the application example xPlayer.Compared with the system multimedia framework of Android platform,the xCore is compatible with more multimedia codec formats and wider network protocol, it also has a feature of lightweight and strong adaptability, it has been tested that the stability and feasibility of the program have met the actual requirements of the project.
