Research And Application Of MPDP Implementation Methodology Based On Android

Android is an operating system based on Linux, and used on portable equipment commonly. Once released, Android occupied the smartphone market rapidly because of its free and open source. On August 2011, Android shared about 48% of the smartphone market, and become the top popular smartphone platform all over the world.Because of the huge user number, market potential, and mobile network in China, it will be of great realistic significance to research the mechanism of multiple package data protocol on Android, which supports multiple data connections simultaneously.The paper will analyze the implementation of PDP context, and then present the mechanism of MPDP, which is applied in browser network-switched module.The paper first introduces the current mobile internet development state, and the necessity of MPDP on Android. Then, Android technical frameworks, including Webkit and AIDL, will be introduced, as well as the PPP specifications.Sequently, based on the analysis of PDP mechanism, this paper demonstrates how to implement MPDP context through modifying data connection manager and adding virtual network device. Further, design and implement a MPDP functional test program, to prove its availability and stability.Finally, MPDP context will be used to implement the network-switched function of Android system browser Chrome Lite, which switchs APN automatically and flexibly due to the requested URL type user wants to access.The achievements of this paper are:implement MPDP context supports multiple data connections access network parallelly on Android, which is used to implement network-switched function in browser, improve the user experience during web page browsing.
