Ever since the first computer was introduced in the United States in the1940s, thestep of human evolution has been accompanied with the changes of the era ofminicomputer, PC and Internet as well as mobile Internet. Mobile Internet can bedefined as the product of the combination of mobile communication technology andInternet, which is based on the features of no space limitation, anytime, anywhere andcarry-on of the mobile Internet and the unique functions of sharing and interaction ofthe open platform of the Internet. The mobile Internet is grafting the Internet functionsand advantages from computers into mobile phones on the basis of the integration ofresource advantages of mobile communication technology and Internet.To date, all the mobile phone giant makers (like Acer, HTC, LG, Samsung,Motorola) have been keeping on producing Android phones of their own. On February28th this year, Google officially proclaimed to the public that the activation Androiddevices reached850,000daily, and that the activation of the Android device consumersthrough the Google servers exceeded the amazing amount of300million. In the caseof Android’s broad market space and prospect, the research achievement of this thesiswill surely have a good applied prospect and potential market value, providing a goodprecious reference to other developers doing the related work and researchers.It is introduced in Chapter1of this thesis that the background of the projectresearch, mobile Internet and intelligent mobile phone are presented. Then it goes on tomake an analysis of the status quo of mobile Internet which has been developingswiftly and violently and spreading around the world, and it gives a further sight andinvestigation into the developing tendency and orientation of intelligent mobile phonesas mobile Internet vehicles. By making a comparison of the advantages anddisadvantages of the current mainstream intelligent mobile phone platform application, especially the research of Android system, it is shown that the mobile phoneapplication of the platform system is of much importance. The research object andsignificance of the thesis are expounded in the end, and the pursuit and research aredone on the currently most popular Android, which is of much significance to thefuture work and study.The architectural composition of Android system platform and the deploymentand construction of platform developing environment are described along with theinstallation of Android SDK and developed plug-ins ADT, the set-up of environmentalvariables as well as the deployment of Android AVD in Chapter2of the thesis.Two applied programs for Android intelligent mobile phone platform areforwarded in Chapter3and4of this thesis, introducing the two applications of mobilenewspaper reading software and mobile photo album in details respectively. Themobile newspaper reading client end, once initiated, automatically connects PC serversvia HttpClient, data are transmitted in an encapsulated way via JsonArray, andclassifications of news as well as the changed initialized parameters of thecorresponding categorized pictures, etc. are read out. After the news classification isclicked, one can read the news and make comments. Mobile photo album is anessential function of each smartphone. By scanning the storage space on the file folderto display the list of images, finally we can display and do some correspondingoperations on these pictures.The mobile management software is introduced in Chapter5. It boasts such eightfunctional modules as follows: look for system information; look for hardwareinformation; program installation and uninstallation; look for processing information;processing management; file management; and internet management.Finally all the work is summarized and the prospect for the further work in thefuture is given in Chapter6.
