Bank of China have deployed a Supervisor Override Management Platform (SOMP) to standardize supervisor and bank teller of the supervisor override process。Once supervisor get a request from bank teller for the supervisor override process, he does review and communicate bank teller by Supervisor Override Communications System (SOCS) via IM, voice, video chat etc. then send the final results back to the bank teller. For the implementation techniques of SOCS, the traditional method is to publish the local listening IP and port point manually to back-end database. In such a static connection, once the network configuration of a socket connection is unstable or temporary changed, the other party cannot receive timely or reliable connection information. Developing a reliable SOCS becomes an urgent issue for Bank of China. SIP (Session Initiation Protocol, Session Initiation Protocol) is an IP-based signaling protocol for real-time communications application. It allows communicating parties to rely on SIP server to negotiate an effective solution to implement data exchange between users.Firstly, it is analyzed that the background of the SOMP of Bank of China and the defect of traditional P2P communication system, making a clear necessity for developing SIP-based communications systems. On this basis, an analysis about the instant messaging, voice chat, conferencing, message archiving etc., and also the major processes of client login, presence set and view, session initiation and receiving, conference promoting from P2P chat are performed. Then, the SIP server (OCS) for SOCS and detail design for the SIP client subsystem, SIP server subsystem, SIP server accessory system are discussed. The discussion is focused on the design and implementation of client login, instant messaging, and voice.
