Research On Knowledge Of The Internet Q & A Platform In The Perspective Of Science And Technology Communication

With widely application of Web2.0 technologies and multimedia communication technology, the network communication switches its focus from distributing massive information to meeting personal specific information needs and user experience. Against this background, the interactive question-and-answer platform has been widely appreciated and admired.The interactive question-and-answer platform (hereinafter referred to as Q & A platform) is a new form of scientific communication, which applies Web2.0 and search engine technologies. It achieves the digging up, disseminating, utilizing and sharing the knowledge and information by through asking, answering and searching questions. Q & A platform was born in South Korea in 2000. After being the reference to China, it had further development before it spread throughout the world.Q & A platform can be classified into comprehensive Q & A platform and professional Q & A by their different content and subjects. They respectively work on comprehensive knowledge services and professional knowledge exchange, sharing services.This paper analyzes the communication bodies, content, channels and the mechanism of the feedback in the communication process. It distills some characteristics base on the current situation of Q & A platform practice in China including interactive, real-time updating, extensive, grass-rooting, national assessing, monitoring, knowledge service and so on.Combined with the theory of communication, the paper analyzes the dissemination process of the Q & A platform. It points out the platforms have three models of the dissemination: point to point interaction, area to point interaction and area to area interaction. According to the practical use of the platform, it put forward the platform can function in mining the hidden knowledge, encouraging all people to share the information, guiding public opinion and enhancing scientific literacy for the citizen. Also, the paper mentions that there are some disadvantages about the current Q & A platform in China, such as the low quality of answers, slow response, fuzzy function, insufficient supervision and simplistic marketing promotion. In order to solve these problems, the platform should enhance the quality and speed of response, improve incentive system, understand its function, guide the user self-discipline, pay attention on the feedback from users, strengthen the promotion methods and optimize dissemination strategy.
