With the development of the Internet and the approaching of the digital age, reading books through the network is strongly expected by many people, but most of the books are in the form of paper at present, therefore, researchers encountered a problem which is how to scan a large number of paper books into electronic books. However, traditional scanners need manual paging, its efficiency is too low to adapt to scan so many books, thereby it is hoped that a scanner with an automatic-paging function is developed urgently.First, this paper has analyzed the overall structure of automatic-paging scanner, and stressed an in-depth research on its automatic-paging control system, finally devised a powerful auto-paging control device, which meets some basic functions, such as turning up pages successfully, ensuring the number of the pages turned over each time to be only one and adapting to different sizes of books to page.Second, in order to reduce the production cost of automatic-paging scanner, twelve stepper motor, which includes four three-phase hybrid stepper motors, six three-phase hybrid linear stepper motors and two three-phase variable reluctance stepper motor, is adopted as all drive motors of automatic-paging control system scanner. At the same time, in order to improve the response speed and running accuracy of the stepper motor, dual-mode fuzzy-PID control theory and subdivision drive technology are used to control stepper motors in a closed-loop system.Third, after detailed study to automatic-paging control system, atmega169 SCM is selected as system’s master control chip, atmega16 SCM is selected as system’s slave control chip, STK673-010 is chose as the driver chip of three-phase stepper motor, JSP5208-401G-010 absolute optical encoder is adopted to measure motors’position signal, MPX5100 and GPAUT0-L6B-Z is used to measure gas pressure signal and pressure signal, and according to these components, a complete hardware circuit is built ultimately.At last, in order to test the operational effect of stepper motors, Matlab/Simulink tool is adopted to build all function modules of closed-loop control system, and by adjusting related parameters, a intuitive waveform is obtained finally. The result shows that stepper motor run well in these control methods above, which means that automatic-paging scanner not only can fulfill all functions, but also meet the high demand.
