With popularization of the Internet and rapid development of wireless communication technology, the development of mobile internet has aroused wide public concern. However, with the emergence of such new applications as mobile video conferences and mobile on-line games, the limited service quality and bandwidth resources of network have restricted the development and application of the Internet. Mobile multicast technology has achieved to reduce transmission redundancy of network data efficiently and improve the use ratio of network resources, which is regarded as a strong technical support for overcoming the restriction. And the study aimed at mobility management of multicast has currently become a hot topic of mobile internet.Based on the current technology of multicast and mobility management, this paper looks deep into this field and realizes the mobility management scheme of multicast receivers based on PMIPv6.This paper first discusses research background and significance of mobility multicast technology, generally describes the current research status at home and abroad, and then introduces the key technology of mobile multicast, mainly including group member management, multicast routing mechanism of traditional multicast, and MIPv6protocol and PMIPv6protocol for realizing multicast mobility management.In the research of the mobility management of multicast receivers based on PMIPv6, this paper first studies the base solution to the mobility of multicast receivers based on MLD Proxy, and describes design principles and working process of this scheme in detail. In addition, the existing problem, tunnel convergence, of the base solution is discussed. Then, this paper performs analysis, design and realization for each functional module of different functional entities in the base solution and describes the classification of functional modules and their specific realizing procedure.Finally, testing environment of experiment is established and verification test of functions is performed for the research scheme which is developed and realized on platform of Linux2.6.29.5. After the realization of the scheme and test analysis of experiment, the feasibility of this research scheme is verified.
