Wireless sensor network is an “autonomous monitoring system” which contains alarge number of sensor nodes placed in monitoring area and self-organized. It is one ofthe most influential technology in the21stcentury. The rapid development of sensortechnology, microelectronics technology, distributed computing technology andwireless communication technology provide a solid theory foundation for application ofthe wireless sensor network. In recent years, wireless sensor network is graduallyapplied in military, civil and industry fields, however, owing to the characteristics of thenetwork, energy has been a bottleneck for the further development of the network.Relevant research indicates, when the first death node appears in network, there is90%of whole energy remained. Therefore, it is very important to solve the energy unbalanceproblem and extend network lifetime as long as possible.For solving energy consumption unbalance in wireless sensor network, cooperativetransmission technology, which can combat multipath fading, is applied in clusteringnetwork. The thesis includes the following respects:①Firstly, the thesis analyze the academic research value of the subject andcompare the current research situation at home and abroad, then, introduce the basicconcept of wireless sensor network and cooperative transmission technology.②Taking advantage of combating multipath fading of cooperative transmissiontechnology, we study the influence on transmitting distance, transmitting power andenergy consumption while cooperative transmission technology is applied in wirelesssensor network.③In order to balance energy consumption caused by different transmit distance,cooperative transmission technology is applied in wireless sensor network whichoperates LEACH algorithm. As a result, network lifetime can be lengthened.④According to uneven distribution of cluster heads in wireless sensor networkwhich operates LEACH algorithm, combining with coordination transmissiontechnology, we research on an algorithm named EBBMCC_LS which apply cooperativetransmission technology in multi-hop cluster network to balance energy consumption.In this algorithm, sensor nodes no longer competes to be cluster head actively, on thecontrary, it is assigned to be cluster head by neighbor cluster heads. Each cluster headconfirmed choose other cluster heads from the surrounding nodes according to the distance, and the rest may be deduced by analogy, until cover the whole network. Afterthat, we confirm the best cluster heads according to the minimum communication costsamong cluster and residual energy of the nodes. The cluster heads produced by thisalgorithm are distributed in the network evenly. During communication betweenclusters, combining multi-hop and cooperative transmission technology, the clusterheads transmit information to the SINK node, therefore, the energy consumption innetwork can be balanced while transmitting over a long distance.
