In recent years, the concept of the internet of things (IOT) has been mentioned inthe important conference for several times. That means we are badly in need of thedevelopment and technology studies of IOT and relative industrials. The bottom layer ofIOT is the perception, the aim of which is responsible for collecting target information.And the technology of RFID plays an important role of technical support in perceptionlayer, so the research of the perceptual system of the front-end of IOT based on RFIDhas a good development prospect and realistic significance.Through the study and deep understanding on the principle of RFID system, Icompare and ananysis the features of ISO18000-6standards of the UHF band, andintuoduce the UHF band RFID regulations in our country, and infer the maximumtransmission power of the system which is needed in the design. Basen on these theories,the perceptual system of the front-end of IOT based on UHF RFID has been designedand implementation. If we link an intelligent terminal to the perceptual system of thefront-end of IOT through the USB, it can be formed a more direct transmission andmanagement pattern of the data information. The design of the system not only providesa more convenient reference solution for the mobile intelligent terminals, but also forthe perception and network layer of IOT a seamless connection.The hardware circuit and software of the system are designed in this paper. Amongthem, the design of the system’s hardware circuit includes two parts, one of which isdigital control module part and another is RF transceiver module part.PIC24FJ256GB106is used as the MCU of the digital control module part, which isproduced by Microship Inc. in US. The Rf transceiver module is implemented by usingRF chip AS3992as the main part, with the matching circuit, the power amplifier circuit,the filter circuit and the isolating circuit. The design of the system software includes theinitialization program, the USB interrupt routine and the AS3992program. The systemis worked on the center frequency of922MHz, which supports the protocols of EPCGen2and ISO/IEC18000-6B/6C, and which has some advantages, such as smallvolume, light weight, high integration, low power consumption, and so on.The design of the upper interface of the intelligence terminal, USB communicationand communication’s commands is based on Android4.0OS. And the test platform ofthe system is set up, and then the test results are given. Through the analysis of the test results of the system, it shows that the range of the working distance is between0.5mand2.9m, which fulfils its promise and can be satisfied in the needs of practicalapplications.
