Discipline is constructing the formation of the basic factors, and also to buildthe key elements of university organizations and departments. Subject building is theduty of the university building, the University Core Competence development of thestrategic task.In the process of continuous reform and innovation of ChineseUniversities, construction of key disciplines has not only become the primary task of thesubject building, but also to enhance the competitive development of universities’ coretheory and practice basis. Development of higher education is based on the constructionof key disciplines and core competitiveness, to enhance the level of university overallstrength is achieved in accordance with the construction of key disciplines and corecompetitiveness, while the level of development of the College Disciplinarycompetitiveness is also directly related to colleges and universities survival anddevelopment potential. Now a new era of knowledge economy, university is the mainplace of knowledge innovation. Knowledge is the power source of the universities’ corecompetitiveness, and discipline construction is the main manifestation of the way ofknowledge, so knowledge has more strategic significance in the construction of keydisciplines and the core competitiveness of research in Chinese universities. This papercombine the construction of key disciplines with the core competitiveness inuniversities to explore the relationship between the construction of key disciplines andthe core competitiveness. From the perspective of knowledge, provided valuablesuggestions to enhance the construction of key disciplines and core competitivenessmeasures in universities.This topic using literature review, summarized the analysis and the statisticalmethod the three research methods, theoretical analysis and summarizes the analysis ofthe construction of key disciplines and the core competitiveness of the HigherEducation Development. Firstly, the construction of key disciplines and the relatedconcept of "core competencies" to define and preliminary analysis; immediatelyelaborate on the key disciplines in universities in China Construction and corecompetitiveness relationship, laid the theoretical foundation for the later; summary ofthe status quo of the construction of key disciplines in universities and key disciplines inuniversities in China construction and core competitive advantages for development and a vague understanding of tacit knowledge, the overall layout of the discipline isunreasonable, the leader in key disciplines lack of discipline lack of funding andmanagement mechanism of the sound issues, the cause of the problem exists and lack ofknowledge sharing from the construction of key disciplines in universities, lack ofintegration of colleges and universities subject resources, construction of key disciplineslack a sense of competition, socio-economic development of instability, inadequateinvestment in education, single investment the main management mechanism is notperfect the construction of key disciplines in universities and other factors havehindered the development of Chinese Universities construction of key disciplines andthe core competitiveness of analysis.Because of the above analysis results, the paper concludes with measures toenhance the construction of key disciplines and core competitiveness: integration ofresources and promote innovation, strengthen the overall competitiveness of theconstruction of key disciplines, to adjust the layout of key disciplines in universities, toestablish the direction of the correct discipline, and make great efforts to train theuniversities key academic leaders, efforts to develop the discipline team, build theknowledge of key disciplines building partnerships.
