For the transition period of thedevelopment in museum tourism of our country, it is a field with great potential fordevelopment, especially requiring strict planning. Based on the facts and the literaturereview about museum tourism, this thesis aims to analyze the main problems in thepractical experience of the tourism exploitation at home and abroad. Furthermore, itsummarizes a brand-new concept of “General Museum” in view of overseas typicalcases of museum tourism and the achievements in exploitation, which develops as amode called the “General Museum Tourism Complex Development”(GM-TCD)through refinement in order to deal with the problems exposed in China’s museumtourism exploitation and adapt to its development trend. Besides, my thesis also appliesthe GM-TCD mode to the exploitation of Dadukou Museum Tourism for empiricalresearch.The museum tourism which I refer to in my thesis is a high level of culturaltourism. The GM-TCD mode generalizes the meaning of museum tourism exploitationand sublimates it to the exploitation as a museum cultural complex, that is, the GeneralMuseum Tourism Complex. The GM-TCD mode is particularly designed for adaptingto the development trend of modern museum tourism.
