Wireless sensor network is one of the foundamental technologies in Internet of Things. Itis self organization network that consistes of random distributed sensors which are integratedby the sensor module, data processing module and communication modules. One of the keytechnologies for wireless sensor network in applications is how to use node’s limited energy toextend network lifetime. Power control、clustering algorithm and cross-layer optimization areimportant methods to reduce the network energy consumption and to improve theperformance of network. This article research on the three aspects, as follows:Aiming at the problems of uneven distribution of WSN nodes, an optimal connectivitypower adjacent node selection algorithm is proposed. The algorithm combines the optimalconnectivity power adjacent node selection algorithm with clustering algorithm. The results ofsimulation show that the two-way network connectivity of the proposed algorithm is achievedbetter than LEACH and the stability of clusters is improved, and then made the networksurviving node and data packet transmission of WSN increased, the network energyconsumption is reduced.Research and analysis of the link layer WSN power control mechanism。Proposedlink-layer based on cross-layer optimization for power control algorithm through theimprovement of clustering algorithm based on adjacent node power control. Adopt doublechannel control to solve the hidden station problem caused by conflicts in the process of datatransmission interference. The results of simulation show that the coss-layer optimizationalgorithm based on power control is better than the clustering algorithm based on neighboringnode power control in these two performance index about network throughput and network onthe energy-efficiency. This condition is due to link power control can be more effective tosolve the problem of conflict interference when data transmission.
