With the development of power electronic technology, information technology and therelated industries, uninterrupted power supply (UPS) play a key role in our nationaleconomy industry, especially in computers, banking, communication systems and medicalsystems. The capability of the on-line UPS is the best among all kinds of UPS. It canprovide reliable and uninterrupted pure sine wave power supply for loads either power goodor not, so this paper studies on-line UPS.In this paper, the study of the on-line UPS is based on DSP, it will be a new type UPS,which has full-feature and good performances. Using DSP chip in UPS can apply advancedcontrol strategies to power system and achieve full digital control of UPS, improve theperformance and accuracy of UPS. Therefore, this paper use the DSP/TMS320F2812as themain controller chip, this chip can meet the high-speed, real-time, high reliabilityrequirements of system operation.First of all, this paper details the on-line UPS structure, working principle, invertersystem topology and the superiority of the DSP control. Followed,research the UPS invertersystem control strategy, analysis and comparison several commonly used digital-controlprograms of inverter power supply system at home and abroad, finalized using a fuzzyadaptive PI double-loop control strategy to control the UPS. Simulation results verify thatthe control method improve the performance of the inverter power supply system.This article studies the hardware and software design of on-line UPS. According tofunctions of UPS, this article designs the hardware circuits of the system and calculates thecircuit’s specific parameters; designing various functional modules of the software processand giving process flow diagram. Finally, a UPS hardware experiment platform has beenbuilt, the experimental results show that the performance indicators and functions of thesystem have achieved the desired goal.
