With the rapid development of Internet of Things (IOT) and Applications, M2M hasbecome the main forms of the current IOT.Use of telecommunications backbonecommunications network as a support of IOT, become a current research focus. How tomake full use of the existing M2M gateway technology; how to make the IOT access to theNGN network more effectively; and how to enrich the access network type have become thehot issues in the current.In view of the above questions, the thesis puts forward the NGN-oriented M2MWireless Access Gateway (hereinafter referred to as: NWA gateway). The follwing is theframework of my theis:1. The different definitions, functions, roles and the relative technologies of thegateway, Wireless gateway, and NWA gateway are introduced separately.2. The model of NWA gateway’s abstract function is proposed based on therequirements of the NWA gateway function. The following are the specific description: inthe WSN network, NWA gateway is abstracted into WSN network aggregation node; in themedia network, NWA gateway is abstracted as a standard media gateway interface; in theNGN network, NWA gateway is abstracted into SIP UA.3The gateway’s system architecture is designed, which shows the process of therealization from the access layer, system layer, and application layer.4. The function and performance of the NWA gateway are tested in my thesis. The testplatform is composed of FreeSWITCH, Femtocell and WSN. All the results indicate thegateway can satisfy a variety of data and voice communicational request blended bywireless network (WSN,3G) and NGN.Finally,The NWA gateway in this paper not only achieve the interconnection of WSNnetwork and NGN network, but also provides the standard interface of media gateway,which is used to realize the integrated function of NGN network. Therefore, this presentpaper is practical valuable.
