With the development of information technologies, as the cradle for high qualitypeople education, many primary and middle schools are facing the challenge ofeducation information. This paper analyzed the current status of the middle schooleducation information, existing issues of online education system and its positiveimpact on middle school students’ psychology. According to characteristics ofcomputer-assisted education and requirements of studentsˋwe design and develop theeducational platform of middle schools, which is based on the campus network andcombined with the psychology characteristics of middle school students and lateststandard of subjects.This paper analyzed the major necessary functions of the educational system,such as online courses, schoolwork management, examination scheduling, online chatand other modules. The system is based on B/S (Browser/Server) framework, whichuses IIS as a web server and SQLServer2000as a database. The system hasuser-oriented, human-computer interaction web interface, on which we can managestudents, courses and examinations. All functions of the system can be accessedremotely, and supports multiple user collaboration. A genetic algorithm is used incomputing to find effective solutions to automatically generate examination papers.Network security is also specially considered on the system.We have deployed the system in our campus network. Compared to traditionalteaching methods, the system not only improved the efficiency of learning onclassrooms but also improved self-learning ability of students.
