Spectral imaging technique used in identify authenticity, quality control and thebased source. First, getting the spectral images of the traditional Chinesemedicine(TCM); Second, extracting the effective pixels and obtaining their pixels’spectral images; Finally, drawing the Chinese medicine fluorescent fingerprints toidentify the TCM. Spectral imaging technique has advantages of comprehensive,rapid, nondestructive and non-pollution.On the basis of the original experiment, to extract the effective pixels from thespectral images in three methods using MATLAB, and to build the TCM’sfluorescent fingerprints respectively. Considering their Euclidean distance, whenopposed the combination of filter and localizing pixel means to the results acquiredby applying other ways, this method is used in this paper as the method of dataprocessing. Designing the experiments of TCM including identification anddecoction through the main problem about adulterate in the market. The results showthat the spectral imaging technique can be very good for the identification andanalysis of Cortex acanthopanacis, Cortex periplocae and Cork phellodendridecoction boiling experiment. Lots of inquiry experiments to prove that the spectralimaging technique has great potential in the field of TCM detection.High cost of the Liquid Crystal Spectrometer (LCS)spectral imaging device,therefore, needed to design a low cost, ease of promotion of the practical spectralimaging device. In this paper, Pushbroom grating spectrometer imaging device isdesigned. It comprehensively describes the hardware design, development anddebugging, the main parameters and the stability of device, etc. Using the welldebugging device, the slit images are got from CMOS receiver, then the spectralcube is obtained through MATLAB, drawing the Chinese medicine fluorescentfingerprints to identify the TCM finally. Verify the feasibility of pushbroom gratingspectrometer imaging device to detect Chinese medicine, the device has completedthe study of the lab phase, expected to achieve further miniaturization, practical, easyto market. The pushbroom grating spectrometer imaging device has broad application prospects in the field of TCM quality control.
