Spectral imaging technology is the unity of spectrum technology and imaging technology. It will not only draw the spectral curve, and can record spectrum information of each pixel of the image. Therefore, spectral imaging technology is the combination of spectral analysis and image analysis. Compared to the general spectroscopy, it has a great advantage in information extraction. This article introduced a spectral imaging detection system which is based on the liquid crystal tunable filter, and analyzed the system stability. Using the fluorescence characteristics of active ingredients of Chinese herbal medicines. We deceted American ginseng and its fake products. The system can get the samples'spectral image continuously. Spectral resolution is 5nm. We processed and analysed the image with Matlab software. The system carried out in vivo test of Panacis quinquefolii and its pseudo products Platycodi. We obtained the fluorescence spectra image between 400nm-680nm. By comparing their characteristic spectral curve, and calculating the correlation coefficient, and comparing the characteristics of two-dimensional fluorescence pseudo-color pictures, we could differentiate the American ginseng and its pseudo products effectively. It provided some help for identification the authenticity of Panacis quinquefolii. The thesis contains two main parts. The first part is the first three chapters. It introduced the concept of spectral imaging technology, analyzed the system stability after setting up the spectral imaging system. Also described the experiment. The thesis contains two main parts. The first part is the first three chapters. It introduced the concept of spectral imaging technology, analyzed the system stability after setting up the spectral imaging system. Also described the experiment. The second part is the fourth and fifth chapter. It analyzed the experimental data in different parameters. By comparison, we distinguished the American ginseng and its pseudo-products.
