With continuous improvement of the highway grade and increasing popularity ofthe car, the people’s lives and property security is been threat, because of the collisionaccident occurred frequently. Therefore, the multi-function anti-collision radartechnology of automobile is researched, which has the broad prospect and importantmeaning to reduce of traffic accidents. The multi-function automotive anti-collisionradar’s detection application is studied, for play a good auxiliary function role in roadtraffic safety.Firstly, the development of automotive anti-collision radar technology issummarized at the domestic and foreign. The development direction of automotiveanti-collision radar and the compare of technical solution are introduced briefly, thetechnical parameters and working principle of24GHz microwave radar sensor arealso introduced, this paper expounds the modulation method of automotiveanti-collision radar system and the multi-function applications of microwave radar.Secondly, microwave car anti-collision radar system based on FPGA is studied. Itdescribed microwave radar received and transmitted the signal, the digital signalprocessing core is EP2C35F484C6,and the analog signal which is from the radarsensor is converted into digital signal by ADS7863,and then put it into the FPGA fromdata processing and display. FPGA used the SPI interface to communicate with A/Dchip and stored the results into the building up internal two ports RAM. Experimentresult shows that the24GHz microwave radar ranging data can be collectedeffectively through the method.Thirdly, the realization of system software is designed, the designation of rangingsystem software is also studied, which is including A/D timing control module, stringconversion module, string and conversion module, storage module and so on, and theoverall work process of system is simulated by the software Quartus Ⅱ, the SPIinterface is tested by Nios Ⅱ, the C file editor, compiled, and downloaded to thesystem for debugging and running could be completed by Nios Ⅱ.Finally, the content of study is the intermediate frequency signal processing, thedigital signal is disposed for IF through Fast Fourier Transform, the spectrum isanalyzed,the distance and speed and other information can be obtained. Experimentsshow the system is stable, which is meeting these requirements.
