New results of a polymer compound was widely used to develope a variety of paint withgood performance with the help of polymers and synthetic resin film forming materials,expanding the influence of paint in the development of human society. With the developmentof new products, new technologies and expanding production scale of pait in the past30years,paint became a necessary and important material of modern national economy and people’slives.Along with the progress and development of the paint industry, people have higherrequirements for the filling efficiency of the paint. In the filling process, however, due toreasons such as the filling process and mechanical precision, paint filling finished productoften has defects like that, resulting in the emergence of non-conforming product. In orderto make the failure rate of the finished paint filling under strictly controlled, the automaticcontrol of filling system is essential.This paper is based on the cooperation of the Sower Mechanical&Electrical EquipmentCo., Ltd. Combined with the actual situation of the paint filling, and taking into account thecharacteristics of industrial operations, an automatic control program using the PLCtechnology combined with a variety of sensors was proposed.Under the control of PLC, speed,position, weight, pressure, torque and other parameters are automatically tested and monitored,besides, a closed-loop control system is formed, and finally electromechanical integrationequipment is established. This paper will study the key technical indicators of the paintautomatic filling production line such as filling speed, quantity of contents accuracy, degreeof automation and the ability of automatic control,etc. And the function of automated finefilling weighing, fault detection and alarm of production line,which is with a very broadmarket prospects, will be realized. On the basis of reading a lot of the relevant literature of paint automatically filling, aautomatic control system of paint filling was designed, including the electrical control systemdesign and mechanical system design.This thesis is mainly engaged in the electrical control system design, matching up withthe mechanical system design, and finish the overall design and manufacture of theproduction line. Experimental results show that the system is able to complete the automaticdetection of the paint production line, with the help of PLC, automatic detection and controlof the paint filling is realized, and the accurate judgment of the bucket’s location and purposeof the to send accurate control commands can be achieved, to illustrating the design meets thesystem requirements.
