As a non-interferometric and no impairment measuring method of temperature, the Temperature Sensitive Paint has been widely used in aerospace field. The traditional way of TSP temperature recognition mainly carried out by the skilled engineers, which seriously depends on the condition of the individual, leading to a low efficiency and accuracy, meaning that the artificial recognition method no longer meet the growing needs of modern aviation industry. This paper focuses on the research and development of TSP temperature automatic recognition system based on the comprehensive application of digital image processing technology and software development technology, realizes the automation and standardisation of temperature recognition and improves the efficiency and reliability of the result.This paper mainly contains two major parts: research on the automatic recognition method and development of the TSP temperature auto-recognition system. The main contents are as follows:1. Do research on the automatic recognition method of TSP temperature. Study proper preprocessing methods of TSP image, including image enhancement and image segmentation, based on the features of the TSP color image; Study the automatic recognition method combined the result of preprocessing with artificial recognition principle.2. Analyze business requirements and design new functions and modules of the system using Rational Rose. Take a three-layer architecture development mode based on the.Net Platform and C/S structure.3. Do research on the database access and storage communication interface, bring forward a means of data storage based on the treelike data structure for the system combined with the way of automatic recognition. Improve the maintainability of the database.4. Key technologies of C# image processing are studied. Using image processing techniques based on the computer’s memory and graphics drawing techniques based on double buffering to confirm an efficient and stable system.5. Develop the TSP Temperature Automatic Recognition System combined with GDI+, C# image processing and Microsoft SQL Server Database.The research result of this paper is a system can be put into practice. The system development has basically completed. It shows a good reliability and meets the demands well. The operation process is clear enough for the engineers to grasp the basic usage. The system has clear integral structure, which brings good scalability and maintainability. This system provides convenience and basis for the recognition of TSP temperature, improves the efficiency and accuracy of temperature recognition.
