The development and utilization of mineral resource, which have the important strategic status in our country, are the material bases of the humanity for existence and the society for development. However, the mine enterprise is one of the most industries discharging solid waste material, in which mineral tailings are one of the most main mine solid waste materials. The traditional surface deposit of tailings, initiating the environmental pollution, the ecology destruction and the security problem, has become the significant social problem that cannot be neglect. Therefore, vigorously strengthening the resource utilization of tailings and realizing clean production of mine enterprise have become the strategic request of our country mineral resource's exploitation, the sustainable development and the construction harmonious society.At present the research of tailing cementation-filling is the basis of realizing the mine clean production pattern, and the system's central task is the control of hydrocyclone. However, the automatic control of hydrocyclone always is a quite difficult problem. The main cause is that the classification process is complex, and the factors affecting the classification's effect and the separation performance are more. To a specific hydrocyclone, it is greatly important and difficult problem that which control parameters have more effect to its separation performance.The main contents are realizing the automation of hydrocyclone's production process and realizing the system's long-distance/on-the-spot monitor with configuration software. At first the main control parameters is determined by BP NN carrying on the parameters identification which affect the hydrocyclone's separation performance, and the design scheme of the hydrocyclone's automatic control system is also proposed. And then the whole system is controlled by S7-200PLC, and the monitor system long-distance/on-the-spot is used by King View. Equipments of PLC and the external equipments of the control system are selected, and the host computer's monitoring software is developed basing on the configuration King View6.52, in order to realize the system's monitoring. The result of field installation, debugging and operation demonstrates the system has high reliability and practicality, not only enhances the system's automation and humanization but also the hydrocyclone's production index.
