The network video teaching plays a more and more important role in theeducation field. It can break through the limit of space and time, and it provides alowcost and convenient platform for many learning lovers to learn and communicatewith each other. The traditional network video teaching system usually uses C/Sstructure. Because of the CPU, memory, and network bandwidth resources of theserver are limited, the users capacity of system is very limited. With the rapiddevelopment of multimedia technology, the network teaching system supportingaudio content provides a better teaching effect and interactivity, but further increasesthe network transmission of pressure.How to effectively use the network resources toachieve the audio and video of real-time data transmission become the focus ofresearch contents, especially for a huge amount of video contents transmission.The users participating in the network teaching can be divided into two kinds:interactive and audit.The former need for real-time online interaction, such as thequestions and answer, so the multimedia content transmission put forward higherrequest. The latter need not interaction, and allow large transmission delay andbuffer wait. According to these two class user, through to the P2P technology andapplication layer multicast technology research, the paper designed thecorresponding video content transmission scheme, in the aspects of the user capacityof system and transmission delay have reached the expected performance.In view of the network video teaching system on research and development, wecompleted the following work:1、For interactive user, we do a deep research on the application layer multicasttechnology, by comparing with the existing agreement. In view of network videoteaching specific needs and network heterogeneity, we put forward the improvementto NICE and completed the design and implementation of the algorithm. Thesimulation results show that the system in transmission delay and user capacityobtained the desired results.2、According to audit user, using P2P technology thoughts, chose a center servermodel of the system, and users of the system capacity has been greatly expanded, thatovercome the bottleneck problem of capacity.3、Realized the teaching function of rich network, including audio and video content acquisition and playback, electronic board, document demonstration, flow filesynchronization sharing, chat, file sharing, answer questions, so as to make the wholeteaching system function more perfect and easy to use.System operation and function testing achieved satisfactory results, but theapplication layer multicast and P2P transmission performance test is still in the stage,and still need to pass the follow-up of the measured to further validation.
