| As a new communication technology,Power Line Communication(PLC) technology has many advantages such as no-wiring ,wide distribution and so on. So the researchers and experts being from home and abroad had paid much attention to it.Remote meter reading system, which is an important part of the smart grid, is one application of the low-voltage power line communication(LV-PLC). The traditional remote meter reading system based on LV-PLC mainly adopted narrowband power line communication technology,however,there were many shortcomings in this kind of meter reading system such as low communication rate, poor expansibility, data can not being shared and so on. As a result, A new remote meter reading system based on broadband power line communication(BPLC) was introduced in this paper, and designed the framework of the system . The system consists of remote server, home gateway and meter server.The main task of this paper was designing and developing the home gateway. The gateway is composed of home routing controller and BPLC Modem.In the development of home gateway, The Freescale MCU development board MCF52233DEMO was choosen as the hardware development platform,and selected theμC / OS-II as the embedded operating system of home gateway,which has many characteristics such as simple transplant,good real time and open-source. TheμC / OS-II was transplanted to MC52233 DEMO to build up the software development platform,and then the drivers of the GPIO port, UART interface and Ethernet interface in the MCF52233DEMO were designed.After realizing part of the TCP / IP protocol stack. the design and development of control terminal in the home routing controller was completed.The embedded gateway as a new home gateway has the common functions of managing network, and the functions of controling the devices through its network interface and serial port .In the field of smart grid and Intelligent home based on PLC, the new gateway can be used as a network manager and control terminal. |
