Design And Development Of Home Remote Supervision System

With the development of technology and the improvement of living standards, intelligence is gradually entering into the family life. Smart home system makes the home equipments associated by using advanced network communication technology, power automatization technology, computer technology and radio-technology, and can satisfy people's pursuit to high quality life through the network management. As a part of smart home, home remote supervision system has played an increasingly important role in smart home construction and has broad development prospects.At present, the domestic market of smart home is chaotic, products are lack of a uniform standard and practicality but expensive, and are difficult to be accepted by common users. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a home remote supervision system which is distinctive, economical, applied and can be operated easily. A low-cost home remote supervision system for single common family is designed in this paper. This system puts the Internet and GSM as the external network interfaces, and can implement the remote control of television, refrigerator, air-condiction and other home appliances by PC and mobile short message.On the basis of the analysis of the domestic and international technology status of the smart home, the home remote supervision system is researched, the design scheme of the home remote supervision system which is composed of S3C2410 microprocessor and embedded Linux operating system is put forward according to the actual needs and the embedded technology status, and the hardware platform is designed to meet the need according to the performance and the price of the system. And then the construction of the hardware operating system and the device driver developments are detailedly introduced. Finally, the implementations of two kinds of remote supervision modes are explained through the analysis of the network model and the mobile short message principle, and the implementations of each program module of the system are gave in this paper. The wireless serial ports communication is used in home network and the Modbus protocol is used as the home network communication protocol, which makes the development costs reduced.The test to each module of the system is made respectively and the integration test is made to the whole system in the lab. The test results indicate that the system can implement the expectant functions and has a good reliability and stability.
