The Characters Of The Sports Form’s Changes Under The Affect Of Mass Media

Sports, as a kind of masscult, has great influence to the human society. The economy and communication technique become increasingly powerful in the nowadays, which entitles the sports new meaning and communication founction. The mass media has infinitely larged the communication space of sports and accelerated its communicational speed. The sports form is changing because of the influence of the mass media.This thesis studied the sports form carried on under the mass media’s influence by the method of literature rewiew, comparative method and logical induction. The result of this study shows that sports which was originally being a game changed its content, founction, construction, model and pattern by the influence of mass media. Sports of participation turns into ornamental sports; the amateur soports gradualy decline; the professional sports become popular and the pure sports compitition is commercializing; the electrical competitive sports began to emerge. Under the circumstances of uneven development of sports events, some sports players become to be stars whose social status and revenue are much more than that of the normal palyers. By analysing the sports normal formulas, the characterastics of the sports normal formulas are summarized below: the tendency of making sports star; the sports mediazation; and sports-dram.This study aims at summarizing the characters of the sports form changes under the affect of mass media by analysis of the changes. Which enable us handle the changes of sports more accurately as well as provide some suggestions to the potimistic development of both the sports and the mass media.
