The21st centry is the era of knowledge economy, and the high middle education meetsmore challenge than ever. The new curriculum reformation of high middle school has beenfirst put into practice in Shandong province since2004. As an important part of the newcurriculum reformation, the geography in high middle school must be adjusted according therules of new curriculum reformation and the college entrance examination.This paper analizes the college entrance examination of Shandong province; summarizethe characteristics of the geography papers in college entrance examination and the idea ofthe new curriculum reformation. And then combined with the teaching works in high middleschool, the new teaching stragety is studied under the new curriculum reformation. Finally,the new teaching stragety is tested in two classes.The first part of this paper introduces the background of new curriculum reformation,the problems in the geography teaching of high middle school, the recent research in this field,the methods being used.The second part of this paper introduces the research’s basic theory, such as theestimation method of the examination and education, the new curriculum reformation.The third part of this paper analyzes the college entrance examination on geography ofShandong province from2007to2011. After studied and compared the type, content of thegeography examinations, summarize the characteristic of the college entrance examinationand put forword some new methods on geography teaching.The forth part of this paper analyze the teaching practice in high middle school about thenew methods. By choosing two classes, one uses classic strategy and the other uses the newteaching strategy. And the result shows that using the new stragety can improve the student’sscores and ability.
