The Study Of Knowledge Management Processes In The Virtual Learning Communities

The unprecedented proliferation of virtual communities gives the online users a convenient way for knowledge sharing, but there always are some inefficient knowledge exchanging in the virtual community. As the knowledge management has greatly impacted on the behavior of members’ knowledge sharing and exchanging, the author gives a model of knowledge management process rely on knowledge sharing. Base on this model, the article analyzes the management process that some administrators identify knowledge from the virtual communities, and acquire, organize, storage, evaluate and update knowledge to make up a qualified knowledge system, then transfer them to the required members by learning and Retrieval. Finally, the administrators can share knowledge throughout all the community and improve the efficiency of knowledge exchanging by this approach.To demonstrate this management mechanism, firstly, this paper interprets the ideology, approach, purpose, meaning, innovation, framework, direction of the study and the research approach:literature study, network investigation. Moreover, this paper introduces the define and character of the virtual community and the virtual learning community for the reader can understand the term in this paper, and summarizes the knowledge management process in normal environment to clarify the status of virtual community’s knowledge management study. Through the bibliometric analysis on the Knowledge Management processes in Virtual Communities, the paper finds the majority of these literatures explore one process of knowledge management in depth, and forms the character that the knowledge study incline to begin from microcosmic in virtual communities. Making a bibliometric analysis of knowledge management process literatures in virtual communities, moreover, we find the knowledge management in virtual communities are the key point of the future’s knowledge management study. Besides we review and classify the knowledge management process in virtual communities, and specify the defects and issues in current knowledge management process in virtual communities. According to the related synthesis, bibliometric Analysis and the correlative foundation of virtual learning community, induce the requirement to the knowledge management in virtual learning communities, and discuss the relationship among knowledge management processes to identify the purpose of knowledge management process.According to the the bibliometric analysis on the beginning of section Ⅲ, this paper clarify the character of knowledge management process in normal environment, and discuss the relationship among the knowledge management processes. Following the description of knowledge transferring, the paper verifies the knowledge transferring process of the dynamic and static knowledge source, and indicates the character of knowledge transferring in these two processes which confirm the virtual learning community’s requirement to knowledge management process. Moreover the paper set the purpose of knowledge management process model in virtual learning communities, and according to this purpose build the proper knowledge management process model in virtual learning communities.Besides, through coordinates the result of study analysis and the former literature investigate, combining knowledge management process model, this paper depicts the mechanism of knowledge management forming and clarify knowledge management mechanism based on knowledge management process model in virtual communities, to demonstrate the management approach is used in knowledge identify, acquire, organize, storage, learn and retrieve, evaluate and update. In the implement policy section, the paper analyzes the obstacles which will meet in the knowledge sharing and creating, and sums up the policy which can truly affect the knowledge sharing and creating implement.
