Focusing on the quality education and the teaching-learning practice, thispaper determines to find out how the “cooperative learning” functions inChinese Teaching through the “marginal person” phenomenon. And this alsowell satisfies the demand of new curriculum reform.The body of this paper consists of four parts: the related meaning of“cooperative learning” and its relationship of other learning style, the currentcondition about the “marginal person” phenomenon in Chinese “cooperativelearning” in junior high school a questionnaire study,the reason of “marginalperson” in Chinese cooperative leaning and the way to improve this situation.This paper aims at forming a complete episteme of the “marginal person”phenomenon in Chinese learning and creating a new prospect where the Chineseteaching could be more vivid and fun.To be more specifically, in the first part, the related meaning of cooperativelearning and its relationship between competitive learning and individuallearning. Also, it claims how to be integrated in order to serve the contemporaryeducation better. In the second one, a summary is made about all the kinds of“marginal person” phenomenon. Also, in this part, a questionnaire study has been done and a deep research was carried out on its data. It is mainly about thereason why the phenomenon happens in the elementary and secondary school’sChinese cooperative learning. And it is carried out from two different aspectsrespectively; the teacher and the individual student. While in the last part, itdetermines to find out a successful practice method to improve the “marginalperson” phenomenon from four different aspects: reasonably group, well-turnedquestion, role switches and joint effort.It is highly hoped that this paper can rich the researches on cooperativelearning in the new curriculum reform, can improve people’s initiative andefficiency in the class cooperative learning. And it can make some contributes tothe development of cooperative and new curriculum reform.
