Cooperative learning is a creative and effective strategy which originated form America in the mid -1970s , and have got essential progress. It soon got attentions of the world and became one of the leading teaching theories and strategies because of the great effects of improving the social psychological atmosphere, increasing the students'academic performance on large scale and promoting the students'good non-cognitive qualities. It has been called"the most successful and important teaching reform"in the recent ten years .With china's entering into the WTO, international market, international capital, international technology and international information must lead to international talent. Nowadays it is the era of globalization. To be an international talent, we should have superb cooperative ability. Therefore, how to be an international talent and improve our international competitiveness has become the starting point of teaching reform throughout the world.In the information technology teaching , group cooperative learning is a reform to traditional teaching mode. It is also the inevitable demand of the development of education and the effective way of embodying the students' subjective. It is a form of homogeneity in the same group, and heterogeneous in different groups. It can prompt the students to help each other in the group and gain the same learning objectives . It uses group score as the award basis and it is a kind of teaching strategy system which can improve the students' cognitive and affective.Under the guide of modern cooperative theories and constructive learning theories ,this paper discusses the practice and application of cooperative learning strategy in high school's IT teaching on the basis of extensive research and practice .This paper mainly inquires into how cooperative learning impacts on the students score, the interests of learning IT ,the awareness of cooperation and cooperative abilities. Meanwhile, it also regards the impact on the communication fear during cooperative learning as an important content in this study.From the teaching practice in experiment class and control class ,this paper indicates that after experiment , experiment class did better than control class regardless of the information technology grade , the interests of learning ,the awareness of cooperation and cooperative abilities. So conclusions are drawn as following that cooperative learning is a strategy which is people-oriented and focus on the students' all-round development .In the information and technology teaching , using cooperative learning can better the teaching mode , improve teaching efficiency ,increase students' level of theoretical knowledge and effective ways of operating skills. At the same time it lowers the students' fear in the course of communication by group works and cooperation. It fully mobilizes the initiative of students ,reduces the burden on teachers and students, enhances teaching ,exerts human resources, develops and uses the individual differences of students so that students at all levels have been developed personality. At the end of this paper , the author analyzes the unresolved problems and gave some suggestion on further research.
