With the advent of the information age and the learning society, the level of EducationInformationization is increasing, and people also pay more and more attention to the electroniclearning. Since the1980s, constructivism has developed rapidly and gradually applied tovarious fields.“Peer-assisted Learning” is a new teaching strategy or learning styles based onconstructivism. It has been widely used in the traditional classroom teaching, meanwhile, theeffectiveness has been verified. However, studies on electronic learning or CSCL is stillinadequate. As a result, this effective teaching strategy have not get much more effectiveapplications. On this basis, the author devotes oneself to this research of relevant fields--Peer-assisted Learning and Virtual Learning Community are applied to the electroniclearning--and wish to provide guidance for the learning of learners in the electronic learningenvironment.Because of these problems, the author discusses the “Peer-assisted Learning” strategiesin the electronic learning environment. The research based on the background of the learningsociety. In summary, the main contents of the thesis include two aspects as below:Firstly, investigation on the demands for “Peer-assisted Learning” in electronic learningenvironment is implemented: Through a variety of ways such as questionnaire survey andinterview, the author understands “Peer-assisted Learning” demands for learners from thenecessity, feasibility, present situations and influencing factors.Secondly,“Peer-assisted Learning” Strategy Model in the electronic learningenvironment is propounded: Learning from traditional classroom teaching, the authordiscusses “Peer-assisted Learning” strategies from various angles.The project of this thesis is supported by the National Humanities and Social SciencesFoundation of China (Grant No.08JA880012). From the angle of learners, the author isconcerned about “humans” in electronic learning environment, especially the role of “peer”,in order to promote the effective conduct of learning activities.
