The Study On The Relationship Among Freshman’Parenting; Self-modesty; Locus Of Control And Their Interpersonal Besetment

This research will from the personality dimension and the social environment point of view to explore the relationship of parenting and self-modesty, locus of control and interpersonal besetment among university freshman, and thus deepen the quality of psychological research and improve the interpersonal skills of university of university students, as well, it’s also can provide a basis for the college counseling and mental health education.This research mainly adopts the questionnaire method, using 《Short-Egna Minnen av Barndoms Uppfostran》,《Self-modesty Identity dimensionsassess measure Questionnaire》,《internal-external locus of control scale》 and 《IRTQ》 to research406university student’s parenting, self-modesty, locus of control and Interpersonal besetment. Research got main conclusion as follows:(1) The university freshman has less interpersonal besetment, the parents are tended to adopt emotion warm to kid;and their locus of control more likely to internal control, which one also has better self-modesty..(2) The demographic analysis about interpersonal besetment and the dimensions scores in the subjects, Gender, singleton, family structure, home place shows that:there is no significant difference in conversation besetment; The freshman of arts, female, come from village and the lower cultural degree parents have higher dating besetment; male have higher treat people besetment than female; the freshman of lower cultural degree parents have more opposite sex associates besetment.(3) The demographic analysis about parenting, self-modesty, locus of control shows:The parenting has no significant difference in subjects; Self perfection scores has significant differences in home palce and defensive scores has significant differences in cultural degree; there is no significant difference in seven Demographic variables about locus of control.(4) There is a significant negative correlation between parenting and self modesty and congruence scores and inteipersonal trust scores. Parents have more refused and excessive protection, kids have more interpesonal besetment. Also there is a significant negative correlation between locus of control scores and interpersonal besetment scores, indicating that internal control individuals have better interpersonal trust. And there is a significant positively correlation between self-modesty and interpersonal besetment.(5) The path analysis on the parenting and self-modesty, locus of contro and interpersonal besetmentt among college freshman, the conclusion is:Parenting, self-modesty, locus of control has a direct effect on interpersonal besetment; parenting and locus of control both have the indirect effects on interpersonal besetment through sellf-modesty.Generally speaking, those freshman’parenting and self-modesty, and locus of control are closely linked with interpersonal besetment, the various factors don’t separately affect interpersonal besetment, and there are interaction effects, self-modesty is the core variable, parenting and locus of control through it impact on interpersonal besetment.
