Plane geometry was became a controversial topic of the education expert, since the new curriculum standard be promulgated. It is also the focus discussion as important part of the revolution of new curriculum.Hiele geometric theory is important reference of foreign geometry instruction. It points out that students’ geometry thinking level is influenced by teachers’ teaching method. It classifies students thinking level into five grades, and point out five stages in studying and teaching. This article researched two points below:1. Design a "Circular" geometrical thinking test which refers to the Van Hiele geometric thinking test. Check the reliability of tow tests by analysis the relevance between them. And research the relationship between students’ geometrical thinking level of grade nine and different teaching strategies.2. Research the relevance among the achievement of senior high school entrance examination, the achievement of simulation test and the geometric thinking level by analysis the situation of experimental class and control class.This paper has five parts. The first part introduced the background, objective and the research method of this paper, expounded the overview of domestic and international research on problem representation theory, summary the students’ specific performance and learning stages in every levels.The second part is to explain the specific application of the Van Hiele teaching strategy by particular case.The third part is about the geometric teaching experiment of "Circular", introduce the teaching strategy of Van Hiele theory and the reason of writing the test of "Circular".The fourth part is to analysis the test result. We find out that there is significant correlation between "Circular" thinking level and Van Hiele thinking level. The thinking level has different changes between experimental class and control class, especially in ordinary class. Beside, we found out that student will get better academic achievement who has higher Van Hiele thinking level by analysis the relevance between Van Hiele thinking level and study achievement.
