The teaching of Chinese traditional poems has been focused on by Chineseteachers all the time. Not only because Chinese traditional poems are often tested in highschool entrance exam and college entrance exam,but because reading excellent Chinesetraditional poems can improve students’ Chinese inner qualities, and their humanisticquality. Therefore, teachers have never stopped studied the validity of teaching Chinesetraditional poems. However, the teaching of Chinese traditional poems is in a state ofinefficient at present and it hasn’t been solved basically yet.It shows that the problem isstill worth researching.As to the inner qualities which Chinese teachers should have, theresearch at present mostly analyze and sum up the inner qualities from point ofmacroscopic view. The researches from point of microscopic view,which aimed atChinese teachers’ inner qualities, are not often found.This paper aims on realizing thevalidity of teaching and starts the researching of teachers’ Chinese inner qualities.In my view, there are three main factors which can influence the validity ofteaching Chinese traditional poems. They are teachers, poems themselves andstudents.Teachers play a leading role in class. Teachers’ inner qualities which related toChinese traditional poems will influence the effects of teaching directly.For this reason,Teachers’ inner qualities are particularly important.This paper is based on the features ofChinese traditional poems and its teaching. This paper analyze teachers’ Chinese innerqualities deeply and shows which should include the following six sections: the deeplove of Chinese traditional poems, solid basic skills, the ability of your owninterpretations, a certain relevant appropriate knowledge, knowing how to use efficientteaching methods freely and a great sense of humour. According to the followingsituations at present: first, teachers pay too much attention to tests and marks; second,teachers have no solid basic skills;third, teachers are poor at interpreting Chinesetraditional poems;fourth, the lack of a certain relevant appropriate knowledge; theteaching methods which are used now can not improve the validity of class, this paperalso raises five specific measures. First,rectify our ideas and get rid of the fetters ofexamination-oriented education; Second, cultivate teachers’ own solid basic skills andread more poems; Third, improve the ability of interpreting Chinese traditional poemsfrom your own viewpoints;Fourth, enrich relevant knowledge;what’s more, masterefficient teaching methods of Chinese traditional poems.
