In this paper, the design and application of network information resource database for science teaching in middle school is discussed based on the practical problems of network information repository construction in current education and the teaching practice. This work could be provided guide valuably for the application of the current network information in the education and teaching.Although network information resource shows excellent characteristic and functions compared with traditional information resources, the irregularity and sprawl of it was not allowed people to obtain the needed information exactly. At present, though some well-known sites provide a lot of useful scientific resources, these unordered network information resources are not filtered effectively and thus some useful curriculum resources could not be explored and applied by ordinary teachers and students, blocked the system construction of the curriculum resources. This problem was also reflected in junior high school science teaching. The author of this paper investigated and visited some related Shenzhen City junior high school science teachers and student in the process of educational practice, and survey results showed that the majority of science teachers and students are urgent need for a plentiful and orderly network curriculum resources, provided rich resource basis for teacher’s lessons preparation, and convenient for students’ independent learning.Junior high school network information teaching resources discussed in this paper mainly refers to the Internet-based teaching resources, including the materials of all types of online media (images, animation, audio, video, etc.), quality courseware, online courses, electronic lesson plans, exam, papers, and commonly used educational software, science forums. Accumulation of electronic teaching resources, and the establishment of junior high school science teaching network information resource library for teachers and students to create a good learning environment foundation for students to learn science.Conjunct with educational internship experiences, the authors put forward their suggestions for the construction of junior secondary science teaching network information repository. This subject in support of resource theory and educational theory, in deeply analysised of the weakness of modern science teaching network information resource library; collected and persevered the developed information of all available electronic resources in the process of science teaching; chose Moodle as junior high school science teaching supported platfonn for network information repository; established initially a simple junior high school science teaching network information repository model. It was expected that this resource library could be particularly useful in the junior high school science teachers’teaching and students’autonomy learning.
