Society in secondary vocational school refers to the self-organized students’organization, which is approved by and registered at school with the purpose ofcultivating students’ personality, making their extracurricular life colorful andpromoting good school spirit, and which conducts activities independently. It is animportant carrier of the campus culture. All members of such societies are students insecondary vocational schools. They are very professional and practical. The variedactivities and rich knowledge from societies in secondary vocational schools will guidestudents to set the correct goal and promote their respective harmonious development, thus boosting the healthy development of the secondary vocational schools in campusculture, and constructing the spiritual home for these students.Students in secondaryvocational schools will find themselves, learn knowledge and elevate their character inthe activities held by societies, which plays an important role in improving personalityand constructing knowledge structure.Societies in secondary vocational schools, ascarriers for the practice of employment and venture, are significant supplement tosecondary vocational education which is based on the vocational modular teaching. This thesis analyses1,000questionnaires designed to learn students’“BasicInformation”,“Attitude toward Society” and “Information about the Society You’veBeen In”, and distributed to students in three secondary vocational schools inChangsha. Such problems are shown in the results of the questionnaires as schoolsdon’t understand the importance of activities held by the societies, as the supervisorsand directors are lacking in enthusiasm for students’ affairs, inproficient at societyaffairs, and deficient in managing the societies, and as societies are different inobtaining the development opportunities, advancing in study, managing themselves, creating and developing because of different grades and scales. For the purpose ofbettering the current situation of societies, secondary vocational schools shouldstrengthen the management and instruction to the societies, support them in financeand policies, improve the quality of faculty, especially the directors, expand thevocational and technical education, train students’ expertise, and focus on theconstruction of campus culture.Supervisors should strengthen the internal managementof the societies, improve the rules and regulations, and establish good election systems. When carrying out activities, societies should find the target members, pay attention to the study, practice and competition, thus meeting the need of students’ improving theirability. External coordinators should make effective use of resources of societies, givefull play to supervisory functions of the external management system, and conductsocieties to improve their quality.
