Research On The Construction Of Our Country College Student Associations

The reports of the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China points out:“The socialism with Chinese characteristics is a great future oriented career, and it needs continuous efforts of generations of young people. The whole party should focus on the young people, care about them, listen to their voices, encourage their growth, and support the youth in starting businesses with enterprising spirit.”As the main force of the youth, College students are the backbone of the cause of building socialism with Chinese characteristics. With the help of different types of student organizations, they show their diversification personality and express their individual demand diversity. As an important platform of cultivating college students’ ability, The college student associations play an important role in obtaining professional knowledge, tempering character, improving the comprehensive quality and shaping the campus culture. It is necessary to support and encourage the development of college student organizations for the university management.This paper argues that the construction of college students community has its own theoretical basis and practical basis. As for the theoretical basis, strengthening the construction of college student associations has its discipline basis including Marx philosophy, higher education theory, management theory and disciplines sociology theory. As for the practical basis, strengthening the construction of college student associations has its legal basis, policy basis and practical basis.This paper regard the concept of college student associations as theoretical and logical starting point. Firstly, this paper analyze the main characters of the college student associations and the relationship between it and the related concepts. Next, this paper explain the difference and contact between the construction of college student associations and the management of college student associations. The construction of college student associations is a social practice process which is composed of a main body element, activity element, content element and environmental element.In this process, many factors interact with each other, mutual influence each other. In addition,, this paper analyze the function of the college student associations from the political, educational, cultural and social four aspects. As for the political function, college student associations is the transmission of the national political culture and practice, has advantageous to improve the students’ political identity and promote college students political socialization. The educational function of college student associations is mainly embodied in the theory communication, knowledge education, personality education and practice education. The cultural function of the college student associations can to understand from three angles of surface culture, middle culture and profound culture. As for the social function, college student associations has advantageous to integrate the social value of all social stratum, guide students to pursue social work and guide the students to serve the society.This paper discourse upon the development process and present situation of college student organizations. On the one hand, it reveals the important historical role that it played in different historical periods since The May 4th Movement. On the other hand, this paper analyze many problems of college student associations management and construction and reveals the complex reasons by carry out the questionnaire survey form. Based on this analysis, this paper put forward the basic methods of the construction of college student associations, that is, grasping the fundamental direction accurately, adhering to the correct policy direction, enhancing its endogenous power. In addition, this paper expounds the path of improving the construction level of college students associations from these aspects such as update idea, innovation management system, optimization of resources, improving the level of self construction. Finally, this paper also puts forward four effective mechanism construction of college student associations, namely, management mechanism, dynamic mechanism, evaluation mechanism, security mechanism.
